About Path to Thrive

An arts-based nonprofit initiative advancing healing, awareness, and empowerment through creative expression.

Who We Are

Path to Thrive is a creative initiative dedicated to illuminating the lived experiences of trauma survivors—particularly those impacted by domestic violence—through art, storytelling, and community collaboration. We create intentional spaces where survivors can express, process, and reclaim their narratives in ways that honor safety, consent, and agency.

Our work bridges artistic expression and public awareness, transforming personal experience into cultural conversation.

Our Mission

To empower survivors of domestic violence and complex trauma by providing safe, creative spaces for self-expression and healing—while fostering public awareness and cultural understanding through art-based advocacy.

Our Vision

We envision a world where the stories of survivors are not buried in silence, but seen, heard, and honored—everywhere. This is not just a local movement; it's a global one. Abuse and trauma impact people across all borders, cultures, and languages.

We believe in the universal power of art to connect, educate, and heal. Through international exhibits, cross-cultural partnerships, and shared human stories, we strive to create a global shift—where creative expression becomes a bridge to justice, understanding, and transformation.

Our Core Values

Trauma-Informed Practice

We honor each survivor's pace and path, embedding safety, consent, and care into everything we do.

Creative Expression as Power

Art transcends words—it reveals truth, sparks empathy, and fuels transformation.

Integrity & Advocacy

We stand firmly for truth-telling, survivor autonomy, and systemic accountability.

Community & Collaboration

Healing is amplified through connection. We build with others, not for them.

Universal Representation

Abuse has no single face. We elevate voices from all walks of life, because every survivor matters—and every story has value.

Creative Boldness

We don't hold back. Our visuals are powerful, raw, and unapologetic. We aim to make people feel something deeply—whether it stirs healing or opens eyes to hard truths.

Our Work

Subdermal (Phase 1)

Subdermal explores what often remains unseen—the emotional and psychological layers of abuse that rarely have visible language. Through powerful visual expression, this phase creates imagery that communicates the internal realities of trauma with clarity and depth.

Veiled Reality (Phase 2)

Veiled Reality expands survivor voice through collaborative storytelling and guided creative experiences. This phase provides structured environments where lived experience can be expressed, witnessed, and honored with intention and care.

Global Witness Project (Phase 3)

The Global Witness Project extends this work into broader public dialogue. Through exhibits, partnerships, and research-informed initiatives, it aims to deepen cultural understanding of abuse and promote meaningful change across communities.

Our Approach

Path to Thrive operates through trauma-informed and research-guided principles. Safety, consent, and survivor autonomy are foundational to every project. We believe healing is not forced, rushed, or extracted—it is supported. Creative expression becomes a tool for restoration when individuals are given agency over their own stories.

Our Origin

Path to Thrive began with a sketchbook.

What started as a private effort to process lived experience through drawing and poetry became something larger: a realization that emotional and psychological abuse often lacks visible language. Survivors struggle to explain what they are experiencing—and others struggle to understand it.

From that realization came a commitment to create visual and narrative forms that could communicate what words alone could not. Over time, trusted creative collaborators joined the vision, helping transform personal healing into a growing platform for collective expression and awareness.
